Erik has been doing great. To think that just 3 weeks ago, the guy had never paddled before!
He made his 16km paddle on Monday, as the weather and surf was pretty hectic on Sunday. He has built his distance up since starting on 6-8km, to a 10km, then a 12km and now the 16km. We will hopefully be doing some surf practice later today, as final prep before Saturdays big race day.
Other than that he has been doing some core strengthening to help with injury prevention as well as be stronger in the boat. Interesting to note that he has found that his cycling is feeling better too, as he feels much more solid in his core area when on the bike!
Anyway, let’s hope the conditions play nice come Saturday!
